This two-bedroom apartment of the 18th century is located in the best place you can have in Lisbon historic city few minutes walking from the legendary Terreiro do Paço, which features shops, bars, restaurants, and amazing transport links throughout the city. It is one of the places of greater fascination of the entire city and where innumerable testimonies of ancient Lisbon are. The area features lovely walks by the Tagus River and Casa da Baixa is the perfect location for friends or family who want to explore Lisbon.

Casa da Baixa is ideal for mid and long-term stays, provided with: - a fast WIFI Internet; - TV with 150 cable channels; - fully-furnished; - fully-equiped: Air conditioner, Heating, washing machine, Flat screen television, coffee machine, microwaves, fridge with freezer, toaster, water kettle, hair dryer, iron, ironing board, Baby high chair, baby cot.

Casa da Baixa has retained its splendour and ancient features such as the wood structure, the old tiles and with a simple and functional décor designed to make you feel at home and truly appreciate your stay.
The apartment combines the centrality of its location in the downtown Lisbon, visual relief and sun exposure. There is a large and comfortable living area (27m2) and a fully equipped kitchen (11.3m2) (with wash machine, microwaves, coffee machine, ….). The dining table (usually for 4 but can be larger when open) can comfortably seat all guests (up to 8 people). The living room has a comfortable sofa. It is the ideal place to relax after a long day of exploring Lisbon with a book or by watching some films on the TV. The sofa can be converted into a sofa bed sleeping one or two extra guest. We offer high-speed Internet and more than 100 TV channels. It also features a bedroom of 13m2, and another small bedroom of 7m2, one closet (5.5 m2) and 1 large bathroom. The bathroom is clean and neat and features a bathtub with a shower. We can provide a space to work (one table and chair) if you need or want to get some work done while there. The apartment is in one building where there is only one or two apartments with people. Therefore, the apartment offers you a great silence and peaceful. But please be mindful of noise after 9pm.

It is well connected to public transport and main roads. The apartment sits a few minutes walking from Terreiro do Paço and Chiado tube stations and a short walk away from Cais do Sodre train and Ferry stations and also from Santa Apolonia and Rossio train Stations. Therefore, you will be able to go anywhere in Lisbon and outside Lisbon quickly. You can rent a bike (turispot.pt/) and explore Lisbon at your own pace. The apartment has been cleaned in accordance with covid-19 safe guidance and our friendly staff will be available to assist you during your stay with us. We provide a weekly tidying service (on charge and upon request) to keep the apartment in perfect condition.

This apartment is legally registered and complies with all the necessary requirements, including both an electric and a paper Complaints Book. Please, no parties or smoking. Please be respectful of the neighbors and keep noise to a minimum after 9pm. If these rules are violated we will charge guests to cover the security call out fee and any additional expenses to cover their misbehavior.

Although the landlords do their best to manage the property from the Netherlands, this doesn’t work well and they should hire someone local to manage the property. There are three other short-term rentals in the building, which means noise from people who come to Lisbon to party. Most of the other units are unoccupied. One apartment next to us was under renovation from time to time resulting in noise, dust and at times strong odors. Renovations began in the apartment below in December 2021 and typically take a year and a half or more due to labor shortages. Beware. The apartment is in an old building and tends to be cold especially in the living room where there is a severe draft. There is no elevator and the stairs up are the equivalent of about seven typical floors. The place was not nearly as nice as the photos but the landlords are planning to renovate the kitchen and bathroom. The second bedroom is only appropriate to sleep due to the pitch of the ceiling. The location is great for taking a ferry, train, metro or tram for day trips to many wonderful places.
