The flat was incredible. Comfortable sofa with a big screen tv, beautiful balcony where you can see the ocean, spacious kitchen with all the luxuries to cook anything you like, soft colours in our bedroom and even an extra room where we use it for working out. We couldn't be more satisfied by our stay. Ana was incredible from the start, cooperating with us in regards to everything. kind and genuine.

Thank you Ana for the wonderful stay at your flat in Funchal. Madeira is truly an amazing island and your flat was the perfect base to explore it from. The location was great, with easy access to all the best sights and attractions.

The apartment was fantastic. It was well stocked and clearly not just set up for Flatio guests, we felt right at home. The decor and attention to detail were lovely and it was clear that Ana has put a lot of thought into making sure her guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

A tip for future guests - there is a fantastic Mercado just a short walk from the flat, where you can find fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as all sorts of local specialities. Speaking of the Mercado, we were also struck by the helpfulness of the people there. Although they didn't speak English, they were so warm and welcoming and went out of their way to assist us in finding what we needed. It was a real highlight of our stay and really added to the overall experience.

Finally, we have to mention the blender, it was great for making smoothies from the fresh fruit we bought at the Mercado. Thanks again, Ana!
Neighborhood
The neighbourhood of the flat was in the hills, and close to the flat there were stunning views of the surrounding landscape. However, getting around could be a bit challenging at times, especially if you were not used to hilly terrain. But public transport was always readily available and helped us get around with ease. This made it possible for us to fully explore the neighbourhood and the surrounding areas. We appreciated the convenience of having the bus stop so close by.

I look forward to welcoming you into my lovey home, please note that this is a smoke free space, and I expect you to respect this when staying. I love plants and have a few in the apartment, I will ask you to water my plants while staying here, but don't worry it is only once a week (twice in the summer) and I'll instruct you on what to do before.
