Can Flatio send my rentals to different bank accounts?

The article was updated on 14. 3. 2022.

Use this article to fully understand how you should set up your profile so you always receive the payments where you want them!

Yes, you can add numerous bank accounts on Flatio if you want and then connect these accounts with specific listings, which is especially useful when advertising multiple properties or managing properties for different owners.

How to set rentals routing?

Routing of a new bank account

In the first step of the 'Add a bank account' wizard in the My Rentals web version (the 'Bank accounts' section of your profile), you can set your rental routing.

a) From all my properties

If you leave the first option selected, ie. "From all my properties", the bank account you're entering will be marked as the default in the system, and all rentals you receive from renting via Flatio will be routed to this bank account.

NOTE: There can always be only one default account and Flatio strongly recommends having one of your bank accounts set as the default.

b) Only from selected properties

If you choose the second option, ie. "Only from selected properties", all rentals that you receive from the renting of your selected listings will then be forwarded to the given bank account. Rentals from other listings will be sent either to the default account (see above) or to another bank account with which you will connect the listings.

The described rental routing can be combined. Therefore, if you have multiple listings, you can choose to have rentals from some of them forwarded to one bank account, and rentals from other listings to a different bank account.

Routing of an existing bank account

You can also reconfigure rentals routing for existing bank accounts conveniently from the My Rentals web application.

  1. In the 'Bank accounts' section of your profile, click the 'Detail' button for the selected bank account.
  2. In the 'Properties settings' block, press the 'Change properties' button.
  3. Select the desired routing (see above), eventually concrete listings, and press the 'Save' button.

How does the Flatio system select the bank account to which it will send the rentals?

The Flatio system always first determines whether the concrete listing is connected with a non-default account (i.e., an account that has the "Only from selected properties" rentals routing set). If the listing doesn't have such routing, the rent from this listing is automatically sent to the default account. Therefore, we recommend that you have "From all my properties" routing set up in one of your bank accounts so it doesn't happen that the rent isn't sent to you and remains in the Flatio collection account.
