The house is in an excellent location if you want to be close to old town and Praia dos Pescadores. It’s a newly renovated home with comfortable beds and pillows. The bathrooms have modern showers. The kitchen area is large with modern hob and refrigerator. Unfortunately, the only negative is the WiFi only worked well in the living room. Occasionally, it worked in the kitchen. The WiFi did not work upstairs where the bedrooms are and two balconies.

Neighborhood
The area is safe but busy. The house is located next to other homes. You are only a few meters away from bars and restaurants.

Recommended places nearby
There are many great pubs, restaurants and entertainment nearby. I would recommend Porta 7 MFA and O Manjar for excellent português food at reasonable prices.

The apartment was as described in the listing, modern with all the necessary comforts. The shower had excellent water pressure and a good size to turn around. The bedroom is large with access to the balcony. There is a balcony but the view is partially blocked by another building. However, you can see views of the marina and epic sunrises.

The apartment is located less than 10 minutes walk to Praia da Rocha. There are restaurants on both sides of the street. French, Asian fusion, and local Portuguese restaurants are around the corner and across the street. There is a mini mart in the sister building across the street. Spar and Intermarche supermarkets are less than 10 minutes away via walking. Public transportation is nearby. So, a car is not necessary.

The building is located uphill which i was not expecting especially dragging suitcases. Once inside the building, there is a handicap ramp. Besides the unwanted leg exercises , I had a pleasant stay.

Neighborhood
I encountered many local Portuguese and foreigners in the neighborhood. There is an escape room in the next complex over, barbershop, bakery and a French inspired restaurant. There is a pedestrian bridge connecting building 1 and 2. Lots of places to eat, shop for souvenirs, eat pastries, and icecream.

I recommend the following places; Mistral restaurant which is across the street have good prices and delicious food. Momo is a Asian fusion restaurants about 10- 15 minutes walking; everything on the menu is good. Pimpampum for the best hamburgers close to home. Spar supermarket was cleaner and better priced than Intermarche. Asian Tokyo is an all you can eat restaurant with the tastiest honey spare ribs. Lastly, I recommend visiting the Jupiter hotel for their spa packages. The monthly rate for the salt pool, etc is a better deal than 3 visits paying the daily rate.

Great location, directly above the beach with a wonderful view from morning till night. A lot of space with a lot of stairs because the rooms are on five different levels.

Neighborhood
House in the oldest part of town where a castle used to be. Everything needed is in walking distance, a car is not necessary. The next bus stop is about 500m away.

Stroll around the little streets and stairways outside the tourist areas and visit the market place (mercado) on a Saturday morning, to see some of the real Portugal.

The apartment is in a great location with plenty of shops for food items and restaurants. The apartment is also close to one of the local bus stations where you can pick up the local bus and FlixBus.

The apartment was nice but needed work. The beds were comfortable but the pillows were not. They seemed to be very old and should be thrown away as they were uncomfortable. The bedrooms needed work from painting to getting new baseboards. There seemed to be plenty of water damage in one of the bedrooms and the other bedroom appeared to have mold on the walls. Unfortunately, the pictures do not show this needed work. I would not have rented home where its apparent the apartment needed to be painted and patched up.

The bathroom shower was amazing. Excellent water pressure. Both bathrooms appeared to have been updated. The second bathroom had a shower and tub but no shower curtain. Both toilet seats were loose. Upon arrival one of the toilet seats was broken so they fixed t the next day but it was a different color and not very secure but it worked.

The kitchen area is nice and also appears to be updated. The stove, refrigerator, toaster and microwave all worked well. Dishwasher and laundry washing machine worked fine. Another pot or two would have been nice.

The apartment has a very nice balcony but the table and chairs could be replaced with newer and more comfortable chairs. We only sat out once in my two month stay because they were uncomfortable.

The management company were wonderful and were responsive to any questions or concerns in a timely manner. Everyone who replied and responded to me were extremely caring.

This apartment has a lot of potential and I hope the owner takes the time to paint, re-plaster, and fix baseboards because I would stay there again if a little more love went into the work that is needed, including new pillows.

Neighborhood
In the months of February to April when my wife and I winter there the area is very pleasant and peaceful. In January and February some of the shops are not yet opened but there are restaurants and super markets that are open. They are either next door to the apartment or just a few meters walk. The apartment is about 400 meters from the Old Town Square and about 500 meters from the beach. There is a bus station and taxi stand near the apartment.

My recommendations that are nearby the apartment are Snack Bar Downtown Nik & Mat. A wonderful staff with great Portuguese cuisine. Talho da Vila is a small but great place for fruits and vegetables. They also have excellent bread and it’s a butcher shop. They are locally owned. KambuBurger & Coffee is where I usually had my morning coffee. Wonderful staff.

Home Holidays is excellent to work with. Always respond very quickly to any communication and offer excellent customer service.

Neighborhood
The neighborhood is high above the Albufeira marina in an area called Pateo. The views are incredible but the hills are steep. There is not much there except a couple of cafes. You need to drive to go for groceries, restaurants or beaches.

Quiet neighborhood but there are loud dogs barking at various times of the day and first thing in the morning.

We loved it! The flat has a lot of light from the windows, beach is 5min walk and each evening sunset watching on the cliffs were just beautiful! the only thing we really hoped to have is a vacuum cleaner as we have kids and everyday sandy toes even in winter . but overall everything was good and we enjoyed our stay :)

Neighborhood
as we stayed here during winter season, most of the shops were closed except a really old snack bar where we could buy icecream and pay only cash. but 15minute walk down the main road is an organic shop where you can enjoy fresh juice and buy local fruits and veggies and even have a tour around their property with avocado trees.

we fell in live Gale, tiny surf village with two caffes. We enjoyed Zimzala caffe who had live music on sundays and really good toasts and coffee

The stay was absolutely outstanding, would come back anytime, landlord was absolutely amazing, brilliant communication and the apartment was out of this world.

Home Holidays are a very professonal property management company, and they are very helpful, and the property was exactly the way it was advertised. Highly recommended.

We were not satisfied with our first apartment being cancelled 1 week before leaving from Sweden.

A very pleasant stay in the apartment. There is a big store just 10min walk away and an ocean is just 30min walk. Additionally wanted to add it is cool this was a sunny side and I could see the ocean from the window too)

Beautiful and comfortable apartment with all the necessary equipment needed for a longer stay. Quiet and peaceful neighborhood. We visited during February for a few weeks and especially loved the floor heating. The landlord is very welcoming and helpful. I recommend this place!

Quiet suburban neighborhood with hotels and beautiful beach.

The apartment was exactly as described and shown on the Flatio website. I was met on arrival and the communication was great, nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely stay here again.

Everything is close by, the neighborhood felt very safe. As a solo traveller this really made me comfortable when I was out and about.
