I was born and raised in Osaka, so the city holds a special place in my heart.
I would like to share with you this beautiful and peaceful life living.
Osaka is most friendly city, delicious food, culture and warm local spirit.
Let me introduce my self,
I work in creative and cross-cultural fields, and I understand the freelance lifestyle well — the need for balance, inspiration, and a quiet space to focus.
In my free time, I love listening to jazz music, discovering cozy cafés, and taking long walks through neighbourhoods.
These little daily rituals give me peace, and I wanted to create a home that offers the same feeling to others.
That’s why I’ve opened up my small house in Matsubara, Osaka — a nostalgic, Showa-era home filled with charm and calm. It’s a place to slow down, work peacefully, and experience the essence of local Japanese life.

May is a kind, understanding, and all around wonderful host. Alma is a special place, and it felt like home for the time we stayed there.
Neighborhood
It’s a peaceful, low-key neighborhood, close to kawachi-amami station.
It has some nice cafes, restaurants, grocery stores, drug stores, etc while still remaining quiet and relaxing.
Recommended places nearby
The ramen shop, Guns, just around the corner is superb-very nice people and great ramen
Cafe Meo is a great Vietnamese cafe just a few minutes from Alma
If you’re looking a shopping mall with a bit of everything, about a 15 minute walk to Seven Park Amami. The thrift store on the 3rd floor has some interesting, cool things for affordable prices

A nice place in the suburbs of Osaka. A very attentive and helpful host, and a very friendly neighborhood!
Neighborhood
A quiet neighborhood with a lot of old people and some students from local university. Few people spoke English, but everyone was helpful and patient.
Recommended places nearby
All of the nearby restaurants are lovely! The ramen shop Guns is a favorite among the locals.
