Ilona was a very helpful and efficient host. Available whenever we needed her. The apartment was perfect, the area close to all amenities: transport, grocery stores (Lidl, Aldi, Tesco, etc.), cafes and restaurants. 10-15 minutes from Astoria on foot and 3 minutes by bus. Comfortable apartment with 2 bedrooms + 2 other large beds, in a secure residence. With all the necessary amenities (kitchen, TV, etc., internet). Superb stay thanks to Ilona.

Around the apartment, a 10-minute walk will take you to the train station, and the same goes for Astoria (bus stop 100E from the airport). 5 minutes away, you have Lidl and even closer, Aldi. The same goes for 2 Tesco stores on the avenue. In the neighborhood behind you will find pizzerias, restaurants, Ruin bar, street food.

You are 15-20 minutes walk from the Danube, the developed quays, the historic bridges. Close to the historic and lively districts. And even closer with the metro which is 150 m from the apartment: which serves all the districts of the city: Buda, parliament, etc.

The owner was very helpful and communicative. At the first contact she explained everything clearly and recommended shopping options, transport connections, parking options etc. In case of any ambiguities/questions she was happy to answer via WhatsApp and complied with the request to extend the contract.
The apartment (oriented to the courtyard) is clean, sufficiently equipped and with a working wifi connection. The house has a quiet environment and living with other tenants in the house was problem-free.

The house is conveniently located near the center. There are many shops, restaurants and shopping centers in the area. Excellent transport connections (tram, metro, bus) too.
I can't assess the safety in the area late at night. During the day, it's regular city life.

I would recommend visiting Budapest Zoo, Buda Castle, Madame Tussauds, New York Café, and a cruise on the Danube along with a stop at Margaret Island.

The owner communicated very well with me, and was always quick to sort out any problems. The home was as it looks in pictures, and in a lovely location.

The neighbourhood is lively and well equipped, with the flat in a central location near to the train station, the airport shuttle bus, and lots of great attractions. There were lots of food options around of varying price range, and while the flat is near to lots of the nightlife it never felt too noisy.

For cheap food, Pizzica and Bellozo are good cheap Italian places. The Cheers Bar does one of the cheapest pints in the city.

The initial greeting was good. Everything worked fine in the start. The washing machine broke and took nearly a week to get fixed, the water barely drained in the tub, we were told not to use one of the toiletts as it was not working properly. we tried to extend our stay and that was a nightmare of miscommunication and inflexibility. We had high hopes as the condo seemed quite nice and was otherwise comfortable.

HOST'S REPLY:
This tenant caused a lot of damage in my apartment, destroyed the washing machine, the bed linen, the tablecloth and also broke the bathtub. Then he write huge lies about my apartment, that the toilet and the drain did not work. Even so he extended his stay by 2 days, I wonder why he extended it if the above things did not work. Because that was a giant lie. He was outraged because I had asked him for the money for the 2 extra nights. He did not want to pay for the two nights extra. He argued with me and was offended that he had to pay for the 2 extra nights. So that's why he wrote such negative things about me and the apartment.

Get on the metro at blaha and you are anywhere. There is also a lime parking on the street beside the condo which makes life a dream.

The location of the apartment couldn't be better: close to everything, from shops and restaurants to monuments and the famous thermal baths. The apartment itself was spotless, clean, and very well equipped.

The neighbourhood was perfect, it was really close walk to the city park which has loads of great things to do. It is also really close to keleti train station and metro station so you can basically get everywhere from there. There are lots of local grocery shops etc.

The flat is locating very close to Parliament Building. There are many ministries and official buildings around the building so it is very safe and very quiet in the evenings. Ilona is very helpful host, flexible with your request if possible.

It was one of the rare times when the flat was waaay better and bigger in real life, than the pictures of it. Moreover, Ilona is the sweetest host I’ve ever met. Strongly recommend this place: super clean, well equipped (the kitchen has absolutely everything you might need for cooking in the best condition) and comfortable to the point that I felt like home from the very beginning.

The Appartment was really splendid, end even more than this. It is situated in a very comfortable district with walking distance to everywhere: shopping mall, groceries, center sights, Duna river, City park, metro stations and public transportation stops.
The place itself is designed with great love to details, brilliantly clean, light, and has all the necessary staff you may need during your stay.
It has 2 bedrooms, both comfortable and one with a second floor bad, to stay cozy and separated from your mates if needed). A large kitchen designed in a way that you can cook anything you like with comfort.
You can pass your time relaxed, take a bath after work, sleep in a second floor tiny bedroom and all the small details like different candles, Buddha's, pictures on the wall will make you really feel HOME. I stayed in Budapest for 2 months for the work reasons, but i left my home in Ukraine due to war - and thanks to this place I felt finally safe and even happy.
It was a pleasant stay for me, a great experience, I have a strong wish to return here one day.
A separate word about the Landlord Ilona…
She is great, a person with an extremely kind soul, very helpful, cheerful and friendly. She can answer any question and help you to find anything you need in the city and she makes you to feel supported in every situation may occur.
I highly recommend Ilona as a Landlord and I was pleased to meet her in my life.

When I started working as a flight attendant in Budapest, I needed an apartment that would be well connected to the airport. Having in mind a well-connected one, it is one from which I can easily get to the airport at any time of the day or night. A place from which various means of transport will often depart. At the same time, I wanted an apartment where I could have a good rest, I would find restaurants with good food in the area, and I would also do the necessary shopping on the way home. And I found the perfect apartment. After crossing the threshold, I felt at home. The owner of the apartment took care of every detail of the decor, made sure that it was cozy and that nothing was missing. The layout of the apartment is brilliant. There are two separate rooms, a bathroom and a kitchen with a kitchenette and a sofa so comfortable that when you sat down for a chat, it was hard to get up. The bathroom was brilliantly invented - a bathtub. There is nothing better than to come back after a hard day's work, pour yourself a beautifully scented liquid from a nearby drugstore and relax. One of the rooms is a typical ... princess room! It has a mezzanine floor, high enough for easy walking. There is a desk where you can work and a large comfy bed! I think many princesses would like to be locked in such a tower and would not wait for a knight at all; D
I spent the winter so sweetly in the cold half of the year and it was fantastic!
The neighbors are nice, the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, and you can easily walk to the most important places of Budapest in just a few minutes. Around the corner there are restaurants with delicious food. But the best thing to write about is the owner herself - She is an amazing, warm person, full of optimism and always smiling. She made sure that we had everything we needed, and contact with her is pure pleasure. I'll miss.
