La Casa del Drago is a picturesque rural house in a privileged location on top of a valley in the emblematic 'Anaga National Park'. A magical retreat and oasis of calm between the peaks of the Anaga Massif and the incredible black volcanic sand beaches of its coast. This viewpoint sheltered by the iconic dragon tree, with its impressive views of the sea and the mountains, is a unique place where you can enjoy an unforgettable experience in one of the most beautiful natural settings on the island.
Do you want to live an adventure in nature, on the beach and enjoy the mountains and the beach with extraordinary landscapes? Lover of photography, hiking or waves or other activities? Perhaps you need to rest and escape to a quiet area surrounded by nature? The town of Taganana and its surroundings, this accommodation in the Anaga National Park, Biosphere Reserve, is the best option for it. With panoramic views of the valley, the peaks of Anaga and the Atlantic Ocean, it is perfect for witnessing incredible sunsets to remember.
The impressive black volcanic sand beaches of Roque de las Bodegas, Álmaciga and Benijo are just a few minutes away by car. In addition, there are hundreds of trails to walk to enjoy a unique landscape between mountains and the laurel forests of the Canary Islands.
The main attraction of the accommodation, together with its location and its wonderful views, is the large front patio in the shade of the traditional Canarian dragon tree, which serves as a viewpoint and where guests can enjoy outdoor life and the fresh air of the mountain.
The house is simple, practical and cosy, it has a small living room with a TV at the entrance and on either side two large bedrooms with windows facing the valley (one bedroom with a double bed and the other with two single beds). It has an interior dining room and after it a fully equipped independent kitchen. At the back is the bathroom and a laundry room with a washer and dryer.Constant attention will be maintained to the guests from the moment of the reservation until their arrival, as well as during the course of their stay for everything they may need. In addition, we will give you local recommendations on places of interest and we will provide you with a special guide to Tenerife specially adapted by the Serve B&B team for our guests.
The accommodation has a private and free Wi-Fi network for the exclusive use of guests.
(Important!!) Late check-in after 21:00 supposes an extra fee of €30.
We recommend stopping along the way to make a large purchase for the entire stay. However, in the center of the town of Taganan there is a small shop where you can find everything (It is open until 17:00-18:00)
You can drive to the house and park practically at the door.
We offer a high chair, bathtub and cot service with bedding for babies for an extra cost of €5/day and upon request well in advance.
Please provide flight details as well as expected arrival time as soon as possible in order to arrange check-in.The town of Taganana is a small hamlet with scattered farmhouses, the nucleus of which rises in front of the house on the other side of the valley. It is located on the north coast of the island, 1.2 km from the center of Taganana (3 min by car and 15 min on foot) and 24 km from the center of the city of Santa Cruz (35 min by car).
Nearby is the farmhouse of Roque de las Bodegas, it has a jetty located on a rocky promontory that juts out into the sea and a public square. In the area there are several restaurants where you can enjoy typical Canarian food (wine, fish, fried octopus, goat meat, soupy rice, wrinkled potatoes with mojo...) and a pizzeria.
It is located on the road to Almaciga where Roque de las Bodegas is the first beach that can be found on this route along the coast (1.6 km and 3 min by car). The next beaches are Almaciga (2.9 km and 6 min by car) and Benijo (4 km and 8 min by car) The jewel in the crown. In addition to being located within the Anaga natural park and biosphere reserve, there are hundreds of trails to walk for lovers of hiking.The most recommended way to get to the apartment and move around the town and around the island is by car. However, there is public transport from the center of the city of Santa Cruz: a bus that regularly covers the route of the Almaciga road, having a stop in front of the urban center of Taganana. The distance from Tenerife North Airport to the accommodation is 37 km (54 min by car) if accessed from Santa Cruz, or 35 km (1 h by car) if accessed from the north. The route to the north is very beautiful but if the route has to be done at night it is preferable to take the route to Santa Cruz.
