The apartment is on the 4th floor with a direct view of the marina and giant ships. Very well designed, very well equipped kitchenette, giant TV and bed. Very peaceful and quiet. Even in winter it is warm there, on 20.12. it was 23 degrees Celsius, and I had the window open all the time. The accommodation is safe, the entrance to the building is only by chip and the entire area is locked at night. The city center is right next door, there are 2 public transport stops around the building. Cooperation with the owner is flawless, the owner is helpful, solves problems while you wait and is available on WhatsApp 24/7. I highly recommend the accommodation and I will look for it on my next visit to Funchal.

Easy access to everything, lots of restaurants and activities

We recently stayed in this flat for a month and had an excellent experience! The apartment is spacious, providing plenty of room to spread out and feel at home. It's also incredibly quiet, making it a perfect place for relaxation. One of the bedrooms offers a stunning view, which was a beautiful sight to wake up to every morning.

The cleaning lady was amazing; she ensured the place was spotless throughout our stay. The cooperation with the owner was also fantastic—very responsive and accommodating, making our stay even more comfortable.

The only suggestion we have is to consider installing a dishwasher, especially for longer stays, as it would add an extra level of convenience.

Overall, we couldn’t be happier with this rental and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and serene place to stay!

So, the apartment is big, it was recently renovated. The location is perfect! WiFi speed was enough for two people for having video calls. It also has Landry room with a dryer.
But, they're also a downsides: don't expect much, as we did, since the apartment is partially a basement. But despite that, the apartment has its own entrance, which is plus!
Keep all of your food in the fridge, I'm not joking, ALL OF YOUR FOOD should be kept Ina fridge. Otherwise it will attract the cockroaches. Don't repeat our mistake, we had to kill tree of them, while we stayed for two week. and they're really big =)
Apartment also has constant smell of humidity. We also had a shortage of the garbage bags.
During two weeks, the cleaning was done only once: towels and sheets were replaced, but garbage wasn't thrown, and kitchen surfaces wasn't wiped.

This would be a nice place for a short visit, but for remote-working digital nomads on a long stay, it was pretty rough. There was no AC, so it was unbearably hot all the time. The only way to cool down was opening the windows, but the traffic was so loud and close that we had to yell at each other over the noise. When we did video calls for work, had to shut the windows and sweat. We were counting down the days to leave and wouldn't recommend it.

The staff and owner were great and the location is excellent. If we hadn't been spending 40 hours a week in the apartment trying to work, it would have been great.

Busy city center neighborhood near the waterfront. Heavy traffic, lots of tourists, but tons of restaurants nearby.

We enjoyed this beautiful modern apartment. It is even more beautiful than in photos, with beautiful terrace and garden. We stayed here for 9 months and also coming back here, when we will be in Madeira island. It is quiet place. We felt here amazing. Good communication and effort from landlord. Recommend this apartment.

Central location, perfect for exploring. High quality amenities and has everything you need.

The apartment is spacious, has a lot of room to store your stuff and has everything you need. The location is great, just 5 min walk to the water side. Because it is in the basement the noise from the street is minimal. Without airconditioning it might be hot in summer. There are just two little windows you can open a little bit. For us it was fine, since we were there in October.

It is always busy during the day with a lot of people, cars and busses. Just a short walk will take you to the water front, were you can take a stroll in the sun, or swim in the ocean. The vibe is relaxed, even though it is busy. The old city center is also just a short walk and everything is nearby.

Very nice apartment, has everything you need. I worked remotely for two months and had great internet, even better than my internet at home. I asked for a closet for storage and they put it there for me, which was very nice. The landlord always responded fast to my questions and was always friendly. The location is great since its in the centre of Funchal. The supermarket and beach are very close. The only downside is the noise of the traffic. If you close your window at night and wear earplugs its okay. Overall experience is positive!

The apartment is located next to the police station, so its very safe. There is a small botanical garden in front of the appartment.

It was a great stay, you got everything you might need for remote work and living. Apartament location is perfect, you have all restaurants and shops in walking distance. Landlord was very helpful, replying almost immedietaly to any queries. Highly recomended.

Great apartment to stay in for a few weeks. If staying longer maybe you'll need some more room for storage.

As other people have already mentioned, the street can get a bit loud sometimes. Apart from that, this is arguably the best part of Funchal to be staying at.

Apartment is modern, the windows are not the best so you can clearly hear the road even if the windows are closed. There is no AC or heating.

I really enjoyed my stay and I can recommend the apartment. I would surely come back, if I return to Funchal.

Pros:
- great location: close to all busses, grocery stores and city center
- internet connection without any issues (I did remote work)
- well equipped kitchen
- towel and bed linen exchange possible once a week
- super comfortable bed and blackout curtains
- Vìtor (the owner) replies very fast and is available for questions

Cons:
- it is quite noisy due to the busses and motorbikes on the road in front of the building (better at night of course and it didn't keep me from sleeping) - having a window open was too loud (and sometimes smelly) for me, which might be relevant in summer time.
- the laundry as well as the garbage room weren't as clean as the rest of the building
- in the first floor, people on the street can definitely look into your apartment when the blackout curtains are open; the bathroom has a frosted glass window though

Perfect apartment for long stay and working remotely.

The location of the place is great, the "flat" beautiful and the manager is helpful and responsive. On the negative side we have the road noise: Loud motorbikes and old busses pass at almost any hour so that I had to sleep with earplugs. The place is further not really suitable for long term stays as it has no storage space whatsoever. The design is rather a nice hotel room than a flat. Focus on design and not practicality. It feels like the people who planed it did never ask themselves "what would I need if I would live there for 2 months?". Some things are simple like that there is no place to hang a jacket when coming home or that there is no way to dry dishes (the towel provided is made out of pillow case fabric).

If this place had proper sound isolating windows, some storage space and some small modifications to increase functionality it would be great!

Vitor was a great landlord, the apartment was perfect! Big bed, brilliant bathroom and good powerful shower. Kitchen is not huge ut perfect for 1 or 2 people!

The location was also superb and I'd recommend it to anyone, planning on going back to the same apartment myself!

The studio is super organized and clean. The location is also a positive point since it's close to everything! My only issue was that it gets very hot with the windows closed and the streets are too loud to leave them opened at all time. An AC or Fan would easily solve this. The administrator of the property is very attentive and helped me with all my questions.

Great apartment in a great location, near the aerobus' Mercado (no4) bus stop. It's also near the ocean and the old part of city. Great communication with other parts of the island because of nearby bus stops.

Just bring your earplugs - it's quite loud when the windows are open, and they have to be open almost all the time, including nights.

The studio is very modern, cleaned, and spacious. I loved my stay there although it should have a fan or AC - it's too hot inside. The apartment has all the facilities needed, a big supermarket 2mins walk and 5 mins walk to the ocean.

The apartment is very central, within walking distance of everything you need. During the day it's a very busy street, however during the night is more empty, so be careful if you're walking alone, although it's right in front of the police station. There's a small mall on the other side of the street with all shops needed. There's also a rooftop in the same street that's very trendy and cool. It's a 3-5mins walk from the old town where you can find many restaurants and cable cars.

Vitor was a great host! He was very responsive to my messages and helpful with any requests I had. Stayed in this flat for 2 weeks at the end of August so it was very hot but Vitor supplied a fan which was incredibly helpful. Large queen size bed was very comfortable, sofa and large kitchen table makes it an ideal apartment to work from. Wifi worked great too. Small but functional kitchen. The street noise may bother some people when the windows are open but I'm a light sleeper and I slept fine with ear plugs.

Very central! Only a few minutes walk to the old town restaurants, fruit market and the water. Grocery store and pharmacies within walking distance too. Right next to Police station so feels very safe and lovely small park across the street. Apartment building is located on a major street with buses, so it's loud but conveniently located.

Landlord was very nice and always tried to help out. The apartment was super nice but can get very hot as there's no fans or air conditioning. The internet was a bit unstable as very, often losing signal or becoming very slow.

It's a mix of local and turistic living. A bit noisy for those more sensitive to that, but for us it was not a problem.

Pros:

Cons:
- unfortunately it’s noisy (because of the busses outside)
- not enough space to put clothes, shoes and bags (little wardrobe or couple of extra racks would solve this issue).

The flat is nicely fitted & furnished. The only downside is that it's in a very noisy area with heavy traffic, and it can get very hot during the day because of the constant sun exposure.

Comfortable new apartment with everything you need. Ideal for remote workers who need fast wifi, we've been living here for one month and had no problems.

We liked to live here. It is good for long-term stay.
The flat is nice and new, but a wardrobe would make it more comfortable, because there were no any shelf or cabinet to put your clothes.
However, it was a good place to live one month and work from here. The internet connection is stable and fast enough.
Vítor was nice and he always helped if we had anything.

The apartment had everything I needed for a two week stay. Vitor was an amazing landlord, always easy to communicate with, accommodating and super helpful.

Vitor was an excellent landlord. The flat was beautifully furnished and he made sure everything was perfect before i moved in and during my 3 week stay there. The building was really clean and well kept and in a perfect location! I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting!

It was very pleasent stay. The flat is very well equipped for everyday life. The location of the flat is good as well, everything I needed was near.

A. The flat is new and nicely decorated. Very modern standards.
B. Internet works very well if you are working remotely.
C. The location in Funchal is great: very central and convenient for buses, teleferico, access to seafront.
D. Vitor is an amazing host, helpful, kind, very quick in addressing requests/questions.
E. On the downside of the apartment, it is noisy due to the big street downstairs and there is no space outside (shared balcony, garden) which I found missing when working remotely and being therefore locked in the studio flat for some hours. But being fair, the price is also more reasonable than other places... one cannot have it all.
