An airy, light-filled loft in the heart of historic Porto, with tall ceilings, a full wall of glass French doors, and a private balcony where Clérigos Tower peeks over the rooftops beyond. This open, architect-designed space is great for a couple, a small family, or a remote worker settling into the city for a month or more. Find your favorite café, regular walk, and a rhythm of your own in a spot with a Michelin-starred restaurant and easy tapas and cocktails downstairs.
Step through the door and the volume might be the first thing you notice... 3.8 metre ceilings over polished concrete floors, a wall of glass French doors that runs the full length of the apartment casting light across the whole space, and custom floor-to-ceiling curtain sheers that provide privacy without losing the light. It's new construction with real architectural intention: clean lines, poured concrete, glass. But look through those doors and the view outside is pure old Porto. Tile-clad facades, clay rooftops, wrought-iron balconies strung with laundry, and the top of Clérigos Tower peeking above it all.
The doors open onto a narrow private balcony that runs across the entire apartment, with enough room for a morning coffee at the bistro table with that view in front of you. It's a space that feels calm and considered, built for people who notice good design and want to actually live in it for a while, not just pass through.
The kitchen is fully stocked for cooking. Clad in marble with local ceramics by Costa Novo, a Nespresso machine for the mornings and a dishwasher for nights after an epic meal of local ingredients.
Sonos speakers move sound through the apartment, and a massive motorized projection screen turns the living area into a proper cinema. Log into your own Netflix or YouTube and settle in.
Air conditioning and heating keep things comfortable no matter the season, and there's a full washer/dryer for making the apartment fully self-sufficient.
The Layout
Vito Loft takes its name from two things: Vitória, the historic quarter it calls home, and the loft itself. A single monolithic volume anchors the center of the apartment, housing the bathroom, storage, and the open kitchen . It divides the room into a sleeping side and a living-and-dining side without closing either off with doors or walls. A hallway and the kitchen add further distance between the two, so each still reads as its own space within one continuous room.
Sleeping
The bedroom side is anchored by a 140cm bed for two. A second layer of custom drapery spans the French doors for a near-blackout sleep. On the living-dining side, the couch and red side chair each become a single bed, giving flexible options for a small family or visiting guests. The tiled bathroom with a glass-enclosed shower features glass walls starting at 3 meters, bringing in lots of natural light while retaining privacy.
Who It's For
Vito Loft is best suited to 1–2 adults, and a maximum of 2 children. All bookings must be for a minimum of 30-nights. With its central location, Vito Loft is an ideal landing pad for people who want to get a real feel for Porto, while having comforts like clothing storage, a washer/dryer, dishwasher, and heating and cooling. A couple or small family looking for a permanent place or overseeing renovations. Or a digital nomad settling into the city for a season.
Location - Vitória
The Vitória area in Porto is one of its most photogenic but accessible neighborhoods. Narrow cobblestone streets, azulejo-tiled facades, laundry strung between wrought-iron balconies. Vito Loft sits on a small back street with no through traffic, so despite being right in the middle of everything, it's remarkably quiet. A rare combination this close to the center. Walk a few minutes from the apartment and the streets open onto Miradouro da Vitória, a quiet, local viewpoint with red rooftops, the river, and Vila Nova de Gaia laid out below. From there, everything else is close.
Livraria Lello and Rua das Flores are an easy walk, as is the historic electric trolley that runs along the river out to the ocean at Foz. Downstairs, Michelin-starred Fauno anchors one end of the food scene; Tapas das Tapas and Marlindo cocktail lounge round it out for easy nights that don't require a plan. A few minutes in the other direction, a new elevated park of olive trees is a quaint spot for a picnic, next to the open-air bar Base which can be a great start to an evening.
For groceries, there is an Auchan a 3-minute walk down the road, or a larger Continente in the same building as Social Hub (a 9-minute walk away.) For longer stays we also love ordering from Quinta São Miguel de Roriz. They can deliver farm fresh produce to the loft on Wednesdays or Saturdays, direct from local farms.
Getting Here
Porto Airport (OPO) is simple to reach in either direction. A taxi, Uber, or Bolt takes about 20–25 minutes door to door. By metro, the airport's violet Line E runs straight into the city center — about 25 minutes to Trindade, where you switch to the yellow Line D to São Bento, just a short walk from the apartment. Driving in? Saba Praça de Lisboa and Cardosas Parking are both a few minutes' walk away.
São Bento metro and train stations are a few minutes' walk, along with several bus lines. Ubers and Bolts are quick and affordable. Getting anywhere in Porto from here is relatively simple.
For anyone working remotely, Social Hub co-working space is a 9-minute walk, making Vito Loft a genuinely practical base for a working stay, not just a scenic one.
Contract & Stay Length
This apartment is offered as registered temporary housing (arrendamento para habitação não permanente) rather than tourist accommodation. You'll sign a Portuguese lease for the length of your stay, which we register with the tax authority. Stays of one to six months.
After booking, you'll receive a link to sign the lease digitally.
Documents
As with hotels and all paid accommodation in Portugal, non-Portuguese guests are registered with the national accommodation system. Before check-in we'll need:
Full legal name as it appears on your passport or ID
Passport or ID number, with issue and expiry dates, plus a scan
Date of birth, nationality, and country of residence
These are collected through ChargeAutomation, a specialist check-in provider, rather than by email or chat. They're used only for the registration above and aren't shared with anyone else.
Check-in details and the door code are sent the day before arrival, and we can only send them once the lease is signed and your documents are complete. Please finish both a few days ahead so nothing holds up your arrival.
You'll arrive to a bottle of wine (or a non-alcoholic alternative, just let us know) and something local to snack on.
The apartment is ready to live in from the moment you arrive. The bed will be made with fresh linens (sets for the pull-out beds will be ready in the cabinets), towels are out, and the kitchen is fully equipped. There's a Nespresso machine, and we leave pods and tea to get you started.
We also stock the basics — toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, hand soap and cleaning supplies — enough to get you started. Restocking day-to-day consumables during your stay is up to you, as is usual for longer stays.

While Vito Loft does not include private parking, two 24-hour public parking garages are conveniently located nearby: SABA Cardosas and SABA Praça de Lisboa. Both offer covered parking and currently list electric-vehicle charging stations. Spaces, rates, and charger availability are managed independently and may vary, so we recommend confirming directly with the garage before arrival.
My name is Kristin, though everyone calls me Sloan. My husband Doug and I have been hosting guests for over ten years. We run a small collection of properties in the Catskills in New York, and this is our first apartment in Porto. I came to hospitality from design. I spent years as a creative director in New York, including directing new media for New York City Ballet after a career as a dancer there, and that shapes how we approach a space. We care about how a place feels to live in, not just how it photographs. We moved to Porto with our son and live in Foz, about fifteen minutes away, so I'm easy to reach if anything comes up. I know what it's like to arrive somewhere new and try to get set up, and I'm happy to share whatever is helpful as you get settled.
You can cancel the booking for free within 30 days before moving. Read more detailed cancelation policy.

Every time you rent through Flatio, you're automatically covered by our StayProtection package.
By booking this property, you'll also enjoy extended protection in the form of Stay Benefits - a unique offering backed by AXA! Here's what such packaging includes:
Once you send a booking request, the host is notified that you are interested in their listing. From that moment, they have 24 hours to approve or reject your booking.
Hosts are mainly interested in the profile of their guest. Do not forget to fill in all necessary information, add your profile picture, or even make a short video about yourself. Doing that will make you more attractive for the owner and your booking will more likely get approved.
You can take a look at the contract in advance and online with every listing. After you sign it, you will find it in the application My Housing.
While arranging a contract on Flatio, you do not have to worry that it could be disadvantageous for you. Our contracts are made so that we avoid all problems! All of them are the same, used by all the hosts on Flatio.
Your time is precious. That's why we've added a virtual tour option to our platform so you can see some of the rentals listed on Flatio from the comfort of your own home.
If a virtual tour isn't available for the accommodation you've chosen, you can contact the host and ask them if they're willing to give you a personal tour of the rental unit.
In the event that you move in and the rented accommodation doesn't match the information on Flatio, let us know as soon as possible!
If the conditions for the withdrawal are met and the host can't fix the issue immediately, you have the option to withdraw from the lease agreement with a full refund. We'll also actively help you find an alternative accommodation and remain by your side until everything is fully resolved.
You can read the conditions and all details about our Move-in Guarantee in this article of our Help Center.
How you can cancel a booking varies depending on what stage the booking is in.
Is your booking request still waiting for host approval? Then you can simply cancel it directly from your My Housing web app!
However, suppose the owner has already approved your booking request, and you are no longer interested in it. In that case, you can still cancel the booking before you sign the lease agreement. Just consider that you should do this only in essential cases. Because when the host accepts your booking, the property is stopped being advertised, and they can lose the chance to rent their property to someone else.
Do you have an approved booking and also a valid agreement? In order to cancel your booking, contact Flatio customer support well in advance of your contract beginning (the specific time and amount of refund depends on the type of cancelation policy).
