An interview with Flatio’s landlord Martina Lazarova from Czech Republic

13. april 2021 · 1 minute
Martina Lazarova is a 39-year-old professional working in Hospitality - GM, Hotel Suite Home, from Prague in the Czech Republic. In today’s post of our Interview Series with Flatio’s landlords, Martina will share more about how she became a landlord and her view on the shift from short-term to midterm rentals result of the pandemic.

Flatio: When did you start to be a landlord, and what has brought you to it?

Martina: August 2020, we searched for different ways to offer our apartment, and Flatio showed us a new way for long-term stays. It is a great partner with no risk. And we were delighted it started working immediately.

Flatio: What do you think about the current shift the market has seen from short-term rentals to midterm rentals being very popular due to the pandemic? Do you think it benefits landlords like you?

Martina: Hope guests generally will slow down and enjoy their time with family. It will be possible to stay longer in your dream destination with more home office possibilities. We are flexible so staying in an apartment with several services is excellent for an easy-going rental.

Flatio: What were the main challenges you faced when trying to find the right platform to advertise your accommodation?

Martina: Some platforms ask for fixed fees, and you never know the result.

Flatio: Why did you choose Flatio?

Martina: A business model we like, excellent communication anytime we need help.

Flatio: What are the main benefits for landlords renting through Flatio, in your opinion?

Martina: Effectivity, rent sent on time, communication chat with guests on Flatio’s platform.

Flatio: How was the experience with tenants you received from Flatio so far?

Martina: So far, a positive relationship.

Flatio: What do you expect from the rental market in the next coming months as the world gets ready to start recovering from the pandemic?

Martina: More flexibility in all aspects of travel - cancelation time, length of stay.

Flatio’s biggest mission is to allow people to live borderless in a sustainable way while also offering the possibility to landlords to earn some extra money and meet interesting people from all over the world. We are actively adding more inventory to the main European cities and Capitals.
