Miroslav Vyrubalik is a 33-year-old Czech National working as a Senior Finance Analyst, currently living in North Moravia, Czech Republic.
In today’s post of our Interview series with our tenants, Miroslav will talk about his challenges when trying to find a platform specializing in midterm rentals and his experience with Flatio.
Flatio: Are you a Digital Nomad or Remote Worker?
Miroslav: I was a standard office worker with a 1-day work from home allowance until Covid changed all. Now I enjoy working 100% from home, which allowed me to move out from the capital city into a more quiet environment and closer to nature. Right now, I’m working remotely from my hometown, getting ready for an international relocation.
Flatio: How was your experience trying to find a short-term/mid-term rental? What were the main challenges?
Miroslav: I checked a few service providers, but usually, they did not specialize in mid-term rentals. It was either a permanent contract with all the associated paperwork or pay-per-day hotel rates.
Flatio: Why did you choose Flatio?
Miroslav: Because they specialize in exactly the thing I was looking for. I am working remotely 100%, but my employer’s HQ is based in Prague. When I need to deal with paperwork or more extended workshops/training, I need a place to stay for two weeks. It's too long for a hotel but perfect for Flatio.
Flatio: How was your experience using the platform during the booking process?
Miroslav: Everything was smooth, owner communicated quickly and clearly.
Flatio: How was your experience at the accommodation you have chosen, and how was the interaction with the landlord? Anything you'd like to share about the neighborhood, the food, places to visit, or something else?
Miroslav: I have lived in Prague for many years, so I know about various locations around the city. I chose the area because it offered underground parking to avoid crowds and public transportation during these times. The flat was modern, clean and had everything you need for a 2-week stay, including a washing machine.
Flatio: What were the main benefits of renting through Flatio, in your opinion?
Miroslav: You get all the advantages and privacy of an apartment rental, yet none of the hassle (cleaning, bills, etc.). Since they specialize in mid-term rentals, the price is favorable and much lower than other options. The accommodation standard is very high.
Flatio: You have mentioned that you are planning a relocation soon. Would you consider using Flatio again in the future?
Miroslav: I am relocating outside CZ soon, and after my great Flatio experience, I even booked a similar service for my first month of stay abroad. Unfortunately, Flatio is not available in that location yet.
