Rope centres in Prague

For tenants · 15. april 2019 · 2 minute

If you’re looking for some adventure and fun, make sure to visit one of the rope centres in Prague. Prague’s rope centres are very modern and your adrenaline levels will rise just by looking at some of the routes you will have to conquer. In some places the obstacles are installed directly between trees, fitting neatly into the natural landscape, while elsewhere you will find artificial constructions. No matter which rope centre you visit, however, the various obstacles located at different heights will make sure your appetite for adventure is well and truly satisfied!

PROUD Ropes Course

The PROUD Ropes Course located in Prague 9 is one of the largest. Here you will find several programs for both individuals and groups, low and high obstacles, jumps, a big swing, a tower, and even a climbing wall for both beginners and advanced climbers. Belaying is done in two ways: self-belaying, where each participant belays himself by means of snap hooks and pulleys, and mutual belaying where the participant is secured by another person who is standing on the ground. If you are interested, it is possible to arrange an individual program tailored to your needs. Otherwise, the site is of course accessible without prior booking, and an instructor will explain to you how to overcome obstacles and how to safely belay yourself and other people. After a challenging route, you will really appreciate that there are food outlets on-site!

  • Open from 1pm-7pm
  • Tickets from € 2.71/hour, depending on the program you choose

Rope center

Rope park Hostivař

This rope centre is unique in that all of it is located in a forest along the Hostivař water reservoir – no other rope centre in Prague is built right into the natural landscape. There are two obstacle routes available – one is on the easier side, the other is a bit more challenging. The less difficult yellow route extends 5 metres above the ground, while on the tougher red route you will negotiate obstacles at a height of 8 to 12 metres. One advantage is that you don’t pay according to how much time you spend on the route, you just need to pay an entry fee. This means you can take it at slow as you want, which comes in handy considering that the obstacles can’t be skipped and you have to complete the route you’ve chosen once you enter it. Beside the two routes just described, the rope park also offers a low route which stretches just a few centimetres above the ground.

Vysoká lana

This Prague ropes course is part of the Vltava Shipyard complex, so besides rope obstacles you can also try white water rafting or go on a canoe on a quiet blind branch of the Vltava river. There are both low and high obstacles in this rope centre, the highest being 8 metres above the ground, and you will also find a climbing wall here. The obstacles are suitable for both beginners and advanced climbers. After a pleasant afternoon, you can make use of the nearby campfire site to roast some sausages and relax.
