Best Gyms in Prague & How You Can Join Them?

23. august 2021 · 2 minute
Staying in shape, especially during lockdowns, has been a challenge. But now that Prague is opening up a bit, there’s no excuse for staying inside. With these gyms below, you will be in shape in no time. And don’t worry, there is such a wide selection of gyms and fitness centres in Prague that it’ll be easy to find one that you’ll fall in love with.

Form Factory in Prague

Form Factory is a chain of “clubs” all around the city. With thirteen branches, they offer everything from individual one-on-one classes with a trainer for pros and amateurs, similar to CrossFit group classes and more. Their clubs have machines (bikes, treadmills, etc.), weights rooms, swimming pools, and rooms for group classes. Some branches even have saunas and whirlpools. In short, they have just about everything you could want. Their prices are also fairly reasonable.

Their membership fees are split into a couple of categories, priced from around €35 to €63, depending on whether you’re under 26 or over 63 if you’re buying a monthly or year-long membership, and whether or not you want some of the advanced features like a preliminary talk with a fitness trainer who will suggest the best workout routine for you. You can also go for a one time visit for €12 or a weeklong membership for €20. Joining is simple, go on their website and register there. Alternatively, you can visit one of their branches and sign up for a spot there.

BodyBody Fitness Revolution

This fitness centre has five branches in Prague, but it offers a unique way of keeping yourself in shape or losing weight. BodyBody will slim you down with 20 minutes-long workout sessions with the so-called EMS technique once or twice a week. This includes wearing a special workout suit on your body which sends small electronic impulses into your muscles as you work out. The gym claims that you will see the same results after 20 minutes of EMS workouts after 90 minutes of regular exercise.

These gyms focus only on one-on-one workouts once or twice a week. You can have a trial session for €8 to see if it’s for you. After that, you have plans ranging from four, fifteen, and thirty sessions to fifty sessions (a whole year). The prices are counted out inversely – meaning that the smaller plan you take, the higher the per-session cost. So, the four-session plan costs €25 per session while the fifty-session plan costs €18 per session. While it’s certainly on the more expensive side, this gym will save you a lot of time.

Balance Club Brumlovka

Situated in the business district of Prague, Balance Club Brumlovka is probably one of if not the best fitness centrum in the city. The modern club offers too much to list in one place: there’s the aqua zone with a pool, saunas, and so on, there’s the relax zone, the gym, and outdoor relaxation area, a fitness zone with treadmills and bikes and so much more.

Whether you’re looking for dance classes, a personal trainer, fisio care, or more, you’ll find it here. But all this is reflected in the price. The one-time pass for the club begins at €35. There are different membership tiers, with the most expensive monthly membership costing around €196 and the more basic monthly membership costing approximately €90. Suffice to say; this is only worth buying if you are very serious about fitness.
